(Day 761) Swords of Iron – “Lebanon, cast terror out!”
Chaim starts by saying that he was in Lebanon recently and the jihadists of Hezbollah have not learned their lesson. They’re continuing to rearm, reorganize and prepare to take another shot at Israel, despite the pounding they received in the campaign a year ago this month. The Lebanese National Army is also not doing what it’s supposed to do in disarming Hezbollah. So the IDF now has to go back into Lebanon in a big way and take care of business.
Warnings are being given in civilian areas before strikes, but when the strikes occur, you often see secondary explosions from weapons and ammunition that was stored in those places cooking off.
Meanwhile, back in Gaza, Hamas is also continuing to store weapons in civilian areas. The IDF has found large quantities of weapons and ammunition east of the Yellow Line and it is all being gathered up and demolished.
Meanwhile, there is a highway in the air, drones coming from Egypt and smuggling weapons and ammunition into Gaza. Israel is working hard to shut this new highway down.
In other news, there are tax reforms being proposed to encourage Aliyah, especially from Western countries, which is where most of the Jews who still live outside Israel are.
Also, this week, another country is joining the Abraham Accords, and this time it’s Kazakstan, which has a lot to bring to the table.
Chaim says this is all according to Biblical prophecy, and to drive home that point he quotes Deuteronomy 30:4-5; If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you. Then the Lord your God will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers.
