(Day 762) Swords of Iron – ”Lazers, Lies, and more Nukes”
Chaim starts by asking his viewers to pray for Israel’s leadership to have good judgement and clear vision to make good decisions.
There are many questions about whether or not this war is over, especially in the North, where Hezbollah is trying to rearm and reorganize itself to try and attack Israel again. Even in Gaza, Hamas is not disarming as the ceasefire agreement they signed off on says they must. It’s a difficult situation, and Israel’s leaders need wisdom to navigate it.
Chaim makes the comparison to a person who is overweight and has health problems because of that. But one day, they start exercising, eating better and after some time, they are no longer in imminent danger of a heart attack, but they’re still not completely healthy either.
He says this is what Israel is like after two years of war. On October 7th, there was a real danger that the country could be destroyed if all the enemies attacked at once, but thank God it was only Hamas who attacked first, and the others took a few more days to get going. So Israel had time to mobilize the IDF and get set for a serious conflict, and when the time came, the IDF was able to strike Hezbollah hard in Lebanon, knocking them out of the war. The threats from the Houthis in Yemen and the Shi’ite militias in Iraq were also contained, and finally, Iran itself was dealt a serious setback and Israel was able to absorb their counter-attacks.
Chaim says that hardship and struggle have made Israel stronger, and now an Israeli laser defense system is attracting strong interest from investors because it’s so effective at knocking down incoming drones and other weapons.
However, there are more struggles ahead. Chaim notes the Iranian nuclear program which has not gone away and is in fact still a serious problem.
Another serious problem that remains is that Hamas is slow walking the handover of remains of Israeli hostages who were murdered in captivity. Chaim says they are probably doing this in order to buy time to position themselves better before they proceed to the second part of the ceasefire plan.
However, Chaim concludes by reminding his viewers that the Bible says God will continue to stand with Israel and protect Israel. In this context, he concludes by quoting Deuteronomy 33:29; Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the shield of your help and the sword of your majesty! Your enemies shall submit to you, and you shall tread down their high places.”
