Chaim starts the video by talking about how the tensions remain high in both the north and the south of Israel, although there has not yet been a major rocket attack from the Iranian-led “Axis of Resistance” as it was threatened to happen for most of the past two weeks.
At the same time, there is a team of negotiators in Qatar working on a cease-fire deal which is also supposed to include the release of Israeli hostages. Chaim also mentions the cyber-attack on Iran’s banking sector.
But, Chaim says, we are going to enter Shabbat the way we always do by blessing the children. In this context Chaim quotes Exodus 3:15; Moreover God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’
Chaim says that he hopes his children won’t have to go through what he’s been through, fighting in all the wars. But if they do, he hopes they’ll have a team to fight alongside them the way he has. He mentions how his team has been with him through the worst of times, but together they’ve persevered and will continue to keep up the good fight.
He reminds his viewers that they are also part of the team, praying and giving financial support to the Aliyah Return Center so it can buy the gear that soldiers need to get the job done.
He reminds everyone, including himself, that God is in this with us, leading us forward in His perfect plans and purposes. This is a project that goes on from one generation to the next, with everyone having a job to do. In this context he quotes Jeremiah 31:10; “Hear the word of the Lord, O nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock.’
He says that together as a team, we continue to march forward under God’s protection and direction. He quotes several passages from Scripture that give weight to this assertion, including Isaiah 37 and II Kings 19.
