Chaim starts the video by saying that as the day ends, we all have to be grateful that we are alive and free. He compares this to the situation of the Israeli hostages being held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. This is on everyone’s mind this week as one hostage was rescued alive a few days ago but then six hostages were murdered just hours before their bodies were found by IDF troops searching through the tunnels in Rafah.
Chaim says their families are devastated and want some privacy to mourn, and he thinks out loud about the process of identifying them through forensic investigations.
He says that there was so much hope that these hostages would be found and rescued alive, as others have, but there is still hope that others will be.
He mentions a statement made by IDF spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari in which he said that these hostages had been murdered as the IDF troops were getting close, and the murderers fled.
Chaim also mentions that on Sunday there was a shooting attack on the road near Hebron in Judea that left three Israeli police officers dead.
Chaim says that with all this going on, it’s a wild time in Israel and he appeals to his viewers to join him in asking God for help to overcome this rising darkness.
In this context he quotes Psalms 119:53; “Horror has overtaken me because of those who forsake your Law.”
