Day 419 Swords of Iron – “Happy Thanksgiving/ Hezbollah Violated Ceasefire!”

Chaim starts the video by wishing his viewers a happy Thanksgiving and asking them what they’re thankful for. He then says he’s thankful for the supporters of the Aliyah Return Center and all the prayers and support that they send to the ARC and to Israel.

He then starts giving an update about the Egyptian delegation which is coming to contribute to the process of negotiations with Hamas towards a long-term ceasefire which would include a release of the Israeli hostages. Speaking of cease-fires, Chaim says that in the north, there is a cease-fire with Hezbollah that he can observe is already causing people to move around and breathe a little easier. But he hopes this is not just a “hudna” that will be used by Hezbollah to regroup, rearm and in general get ready for the next round. There is always a possibility that Hamas will use any cease-fire for the same purposes.

However, Chaim voices some optimism since the IDF has done such tremendous damage to both Hamas and Hezbollah, they might not be able to recover so quickly. The IDF is also still on the border and on high alert, making sure Hezbollah behaves itself. He says this has resulted in an “eerie quiet” along the border.

However, Chaim points out that Hezbollah is part of the internationally recognized government of Lebanon, so they’ll have some tools to start rebuilding if they want to, and Chaim thinks that any agreement should include a clause that Hezbollah is not allowed to continue being part of the government of Lebanon.

In any case, the IDF will continue to be on guard and Chaim thanks his viewers for their help in getting thermal drones which allow IDF soldiers to do their jobs better and more safely.

In this context he quotes Zechariah 8:7-8; Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Behold, I will save My people from the land of the east and from the land of the west; I will bring them back, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. They shall be My people and I will be their God, in truth and righteousness.’
