(Day 673) Swords of Iron –  “Gasp For Air”

Chaim starts by saying that he’s standing outside in the cool of the night and he’s looking up at the sky and he doesn’t see any ballistic missiles being intercepted. He says it’s nice, and sometimes people who are going through a hard time just need something nice to help them get through it. That’s why the Aliyah Return Center is holding a barbecue for some IDF soldiers, who are battle-weary but not defeated. Chaim quickly interviews an ARC volunteer from the US State of Florida who is helping with the barbecue.

He also interviews a couple of the IDF soldiers who are there, asking them how they’d like to ask Christian supporters of Israel to pray for them. They all ask to pray for peace for Israel, but also for victory and for the strategic goals that Israel set out to achieve when the war began.

Chaim says that the Ya’alom Combat Engineering unit that he’s part of has soldiers deployed in Syria, Lebanon, Gaza and many other places. They don’t want to be there, but they’re determined to complete the mission, defend their country and bring stability to the region.

Chaim says that right now, as there’s a cease-fire with Iran, it’s time for Israel to take a gasp of air and prepare for the next step. He concludes by thanking his supporters and viewers for helping to make the work of the ARC, including the relief the organization can bring to IDF soldiers, possible.
