(Day 690) Swords of Iron – “Precision”

Chaim starts out by saying how much good it does him to see tunnels demolished that Hamas dug for evil purposes, such as holding hostages in cruel captivity, moving into position to attack Israelis, hiding weapons to fire at innocent people, etc. He says that as a member of the IDF’s Yahalom combat engineering unit, he has participated in the demolition of many such tunnels. Some were destroyed with explosives while others were flooded with water or cement. There’s also infrastructure above ground which hide tunnel entrances, and this infrastructure must also be destroyed.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Air Force hit the Houthis in Yemen, destroying some of their most important infrastructure.

But Chaim also laments the fact that fellow democracies around the world, including some of Israel’s traditional friends in Europe, seem to be shaking at their foundations, capitulating to terrorism. Chaim says Israel must stand firm, stand strong, and not give up.

In this context, he concludes by quoting Jeremiah 31:11; For the Lord has redeemed Jacob,

And ransomed him from the hand of one stronger than he.
