(Day 701) Swords of Iron – “Their Reign is Over”

Chaim starts by saying that the final push to take control of Gaza City has begun, and he lists several steps that are being taken to reduce the harm to civilians and IDF soldiers as this final push gets underway.

This includes setting up humanitarian safe zones with medical facilities and other things the residents will need south of Gaza City in the Al Mawassi area. Residents of Gaza City are being urged to move out of the city towards these safe zones, and October 7th has been set as the target date for this to be completed. However, Hamas is fortifying their positions in the tunnels underneath Gaza City and otherwise preparing to not go down without a fight.

Chaim says that the IDF already has around 40% of Gaza City under their control, and there is also a proposal on the table for Israel to annex 82% of Judea and Samaria. Chaim acknowledges that the UAE and Saudi Arabia have both said that if Israel takes this step, they will give a hard “no” to the Abraham Accords. Chaim says he hopes everyone will come to their senses and that this situation can end in the way that the Bible says it should.

In this context, he concludes by quoting Psalms 2:1-3; Why do the nations rage,

And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.”
