(Day 707) Swords of Iron – “Tragic Times”

Chaim starts by talking about how the whole world, but especially here in Israel, is shocked and saddened by the assassination of Charlie Kirk. However, Chaim says it is a reminder of the importance of having voices that stand up for truth and righteousness, and Chaim says he’s so honored to have such a voice and such a platform.

Chaim also mentions that the assassin is still at large, and that this method of assassination is the same method that someone tried to use to assassinate the current POTUS last year in Pennsylvania.

Chaim also reminds his viewers that we’ve just marked 24 years since the September 11th terrorist attacks on the United States, which is yet another reminder that how people are taught and brought up, what values they are taught to have, and who teaches them, are so very important.

On that note, Chaim recalls that when the US took out Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan, no one voiced solidarity with Pakistan because the US had conducted an unauthorized military operation there and violated their sovereignty. But for some reason, when Israel hits a gathering of terrorists in Qatar, that’s the narrative that emerges.

Chaim echoes Prime Minister Netanyahu’s declaration from this week in which he says that the world should be applauding Israel for defending civilization against this barbarian onslaught.

He also mentions that Israel is still under fire from the Houthis in Yemen and elsewhere, and he also mentions the Greta Thunberg flotilla, which fired a flare that malfunctioned, setting their own ship on fire, and then they tried to blame Israel for hitting them with drones. This buck naked lie was repeated and bolstered by people who almost certainly know better, but they don’t care about the truth, they just want to damage Israel any way they can.

Another example of this phenomenon is the way many people around the world condemn the GHF organization, saying that it is doing a poor job of feeding the people of Gaza, when they know this isn’t true. Many will also repeat the lie that Israel is “starving” Gazans when they know that Israel is sending hundreds of truckloads worth of food into the Strip every single day along with air drops. People know the truth, but they don’t care; they repeat the lies that make Israel look bad, no matter what.

However, amidst all this, the IDF is preparing to take full control of Gaza City, to rescue the hostages and finish off Hamas once and for all. There are also growing signs of another round of war with Iran and there are also signs of growing tensions with Egypt, and others. Chaim mentions the situation in Poland, where Russian drones have penetrated the air space and been shot down over Polish territory. Chaim says that Poland and NATO need to be strong and not back down in the face of this bullying.

In this context, Chaim quotes Joel 3:1-3; “For behold, in those days and at that time,

When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations,

And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land. They have cast lots for My people, have given a boy as payment for a harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they may drink.”
