(Day 710) Swords of Iron – “Showdown”
Chaim starts by talking about the gathering of Arab and Moslem leaders this week in Doha, Qatar, with the ostensible purpose of “stopping Israel” and Chaim says this is an event of Biblical proportions and significance. He quotes Egyptian President Al-Sisi as saying that the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt is at risk and normalization agreements with other Arab countries might be as well.
Chaim says this just makes him personally more determined then ever to see this war through to the victory Israel needs. He acknowledges that there is a price to pay for this. Although the numbers of soldiers killed and wounded in battle is relatively small, the number suffering from mental health issues related to the war is immense, and it will require huge efforts and funds to manage over the next several years.
However, the job must be finished, and Chaim says that there are even many clans and families inside Gaza who are willing to help Israel get rid of Hamas because they remember, unlike many in the West, who started this war and whose fault all this suffering is.
Speaking of suffering, Chaim also mentions the reports that Hamas is moving some of the remaining hostages above ground in Gaza City to try and hinder the IDF’s movements and actions.
Chaim also mentions a question he gets sometimes about what the most intense moments in this war have been for him personally. He answers this question by saying the battles he took part in in southern Lebanon in late 2024 were the most intense. He says that Syria also had many weapons stockpiled for the express purpose of attacking Israel, and the IDF had to go in and clear them out. There were also attacks on Israel from the Houthis in Yemen and from Iran itself, as well as terrorism in Judea and Samaria and of course battles in Gaza. However, Chaim says we’ve seen Israel come through all these battles.
He then switches the focus slightly to talking about the murder of Charlie Kirk and he urges his viewers to follow Charlie’s example of standing up for the truth, being vocal about it and not being afraid of suffering persecution because of it and to switch their internal narrative from saying “I can” to “I will” and then doing it.
In this context, he concludes by quoting Zecheriah 12:3; And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.
