(Day 738) Swords of Iron – “Miracles Are Happening-As we hold onto FAITH!”

Chaim starts by trying to describe the experience of watching the hostages coming home to be reunited with their families. He talks about scenes in which parents are seeing their children for the first time in two years, and President Trump is arriving on Air Force One, seen by millions in Hostage Square and along the beach in Tel Aviv.

Chaim says it’s a moment of intense emotions for everyone in Israel, and he is crying at the same time as he’s rejoicing.

Chaim says that he’s also thinking about all the IDF soldiers who lost their lives and lost limbs and suffered terrible wounds in order to make this moment possible.

Chaim says it’s yet another reminder that the God of Israel is real and is moving in the world today. He used, as Chaim says, “US President Donald Trump, a modern day Cyrus” and other circumstances to move forward His own plans and purposes.

Although Hamas is continuing to try and assert its dominance in Gaza by massacring their opponents, Chaim says that God is still on the throne and they will not triumph.

The people of Israel have faith in their God and when you have faith, even the impossible can happen, and often does.

Chaim mentions that the Hebrew word “Amen” which is used to conclude Christian prayers as well, is derived from the Hebrew word “Emmnuah” which means “faith” and it essentially means “I agree” or “it is sealed”.

Chaim says these Israeli parents who loved their children SO MUCH and had faith that they would see them again in the land of the living had faith that propelled them to make it happen.

In this context, Chaim quotes Psalms 126: When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion,
We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad. Bring back our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the South. Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Israelis are celebrating the release of these hostages, as this has been something that people have been hoping and praying for this day. But there still needs to be a return of all the remains of those who were murdered in captivity in order for this war to be “over” in any real sense.

The rest of the tunnels and other terrorist infrastructure that Hamas has been using to threaten the people of Israel must be dismantled for security to be restored.
