(Day 755) Swords of Iron – “Cease-fire, collapsing? Or Hamas Rejecting Phase 2 of Plan?”
Chaim says it’s great to see that some families of hostages who were murdered in captivity have recieved the remains of their loved ones for a dignified burial. In this context, he quotes Proverbs 24:11; Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.
At the same time, he asks the rhetorical question about whether Israel is headed towards renewed conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon, or will there be longer-term peace, or what will happen? Hezbollah certainly isn’t showing any signs of disarming, as they said they would.
Chaim mentions that IDF chief of staff Eyal Zamir recently told a group of IDF cadets that the IDF is ready for a very strong response to any provocation Hezbollah might try to mount.
Also, Hamas has not kept its side of the ceasefire agreement. They have no returned all the remains of hostages that they could and they have not disarmed either. There are several proposals for how to force them to disarm, including pressure from Turkey and Qatar, but so far there is no sign that this is going to work.
The IDF does not want to go back into Gaza and forcefully disarm Hamas, but that might be the only realistic option in the end.
Chaim concludes by talking about the epic clash between light and darkness, the good vs. the evil and the prophetic date of October 31st, which is the anniversary of several very important historic events that impacted on Israel and the Jewish People.
