Update (Day 907) Swords of Iron-Lion’s Roar “Pharaohs of Iran”

It’s not just analysts and strategists who need to anticipate the next attack—we all do. We must stay fully alert in this multi-front war. Some fronts quiet down, then flare up again, like the Houthis in Yemen or Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. The same is true with Iran.

There is also an eighth front: the media. It can be a powerful weapon. Fake news claims that Israel is blocking Christians from holy sites, but restrictions apply to everyone—Jewish, Muslim, Christian, anyone. Large gatherings are limited to save lives.

Meanwhile, accusations of war crimes are raised selectively. The UN Human Rights Watch released a report suggesting Iran MAY be committing war crimes as they intentionally target high population civilian areas while Israel is vilified for warning civilians in advance of a strike to leave the area of a rocket or missile launch site so that it can be neutralized.

It is always painful to hear the names of fallen soldiers, whether known personally or not. Four IDF soldiers were killed in southern Lebanon; three have been named: Captain Noam Madmony, 22; Staff Sergeant Ben Cohen, 21; and Staff Sergeant Maxim Entis, 21. The fourth has not yet been publicly identified. We mourn with their families and honor their sacrifice.

War is difficult. When challenges intensify, resilience matters most. These soldiers gave their lives defending their country and its people.

Debate continues over policies such as the death penalty for terrorists, which has advanced in Israel’s legislative process. Supporters argue that convicted terrorists should face the harshest consequences rather than imprisonment alone, while critics raise moral and legal concerns.

Historically, Israel has rarely carried out executions, most notably in the case of Adolf Eichmann. The issue remains deeply contentious.

Ultimately, people must decide where they stand—whether to prioritize deterrence through severe punishment or pursue other approaches to justice and security.

To those who threaten destruction, history offers warnings. The story of Passover recalls the downfall of powerful oppressors: “Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has cast into the sea; his chosen officers are sunk in the Red Sea” (Exodus 15:4). It also declares, “You stretched out Your right hand; the earth swallowed them” (Exodus 15:12). These verses serve as a reminder of consequences and the possibility of change.

It’s almost Passover and I visited a friend in the hospital, a member of my army team who was wounded in battle right next to me, it’s a miracle we are still alive. I managed to catch some of his story on film, which I’ve included in today’s video update (watch here)
