Update (Day 918) Swords of Iron-Lion’s Roar “Woe Unto Ye Evildoers”

Our northern towns are under heavy fire, and our soldiers—our best and brightest—are working relentlessly on the ground and in the air to restore security. We will not stop.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has instructed his cabinet to open direct ceasefire talks with Lebanon, reportedly set for Tuesday, following discussions with President Trump. Whether these talks lead anywhere remains uncertain.

Questions are also being raised about regional actors. Qatar continues to present itself as a neutral mediator, yet its role—along with outlets like Al Jazeera—has drawn scrutiny. Israel previously shut down the network over security concerns. Recent coverage highlighting damage to the Al Udeid air base after an Iranian strike has fueled speculation about messaging and influence. At the same time, there is frustration that U.S. defenses did not fully prevent the attack.

Diplomatically, tensions remain high. The U.S. has rejected Iran’s proposed framework, calling it unacceptable, while pushing its own conditions. The gap between the sides leaves little clarity about the path forward.

Meanwhile, criticism has emerged over international institutions. Reports that Iran has been nominated to participate in discussions on human rights, women’s rights, and disarmament have sparked disbelief, especially given its record. Several Western countries are said to have supported the move, raising further questions about global priorities.

Amid all this, the reality on the ground remains unchanged: continued threats, ongoing operations, and a region on edge. Yet there is also resolve—a determination to defend, to endure, and to secure a different future.

As it is written in Joshua 1:3–5:

Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you… No man shall be able to stand before you… I will not leave you nor forsake you.”

In a time of uncertainty, that promise offers strength—the hope that beyond this conflict, a more secure and peaceful future can emerge for the whole Middle East.
