Update (Day 950) Swords of Iron “Live and Let Live?”

The north of Israel is so different from Gaza—the plants, the rocks, the landscape. It’s beautiful. And it’s heartbreaking that this beauty is interrupted by air raid sirens due to Hezbollah terrorists breaking the so-called “ceasefire”.

The northern Israeli town of Zarit was hit as Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets all at once toward IDF soldiers, villages, and innocent civilians alike. Sirens sounded across the north. Then came waves of drones—the largest coordinated drone attack ever recorded against northern Israel. Hezbollah is clearly trying to improve its drone warfare, using swarms, second-wave attacks, and even fiber-optic guidance systems that are harder to jam.

Two soldiers were wounded, and additional drones sparked fires near the border. This can’t be called a ceasefire. This is terror with pauses in between.

The question is how we secure true peace in the north, the south, and against Iran—the head of the octopus. We have to stay at it, because these enemies are not simply firing rockets; they are driven by a worldview that justifies murderous violence against anyone they label an enemy.

There is a concept used by extremist Islamic regimes and jihadist movements—punishing those they claim are “waging war against God” or “spreading corruption.” In practice, this becomes a license to maim, kill, terrorize, and silence opposition.

We’ve seen it in Iran, where protesters have been brutally crushed.

We’ve seen it in Gaza, where Hamas terrorizes civilians who oppose its dictatorship. And we see the same spirit in Hezbollah’s attacks on Israel.

This is why Israel must not allow these forces to invade the Galilee or threaten our communities. These are not just military threats; they are ideological threats rooted in terror.

I say this plainly because people need to understand what we are facing. Israel is defending civil society against movements that glorify death, repression, and violence.

But as I’ve said before, this is not the end of the story.

Psalm 118:10–12 says: “All these nations surrounded me, but in the name of the Lord I cut them down. They swarmed around me like bees, but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns.”

That is the poetic picture of victory God has given—and will give—to Israel.
