Update (Day 952) Swords of Iron “A Sobering Look At The Antisemitism Virus”

As Shabbat begins, many are asking: what comes next with America, Iran, and Israel’s role? MK Nissim Vaturi says Israel is closer than ever to renewed war against Iran and its nuclear ambitions. And honestly, we cannot live with nuclear weapons or ballistic missiles hanging over our heads.

The question is whether Trump will accept a deal—perhaps a 20-year halt on nuclear weapons production with inspectors. But can such a deal be trusted? I wouldn’t trust the Iranian regime. Our Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, has warned the IDF to prepare for surprise attacks on multiple fronts. Constant readiness is the reality.

And it breaks my heart when our heroes fall in the line of duty. Today, Israel announced that Staff Sergeant Negev Dagan was killed in Lebanon while fighting Hezbollah. Mortars struck our forces overnight as they operated in southern Lebanon to protect Israel’s north. He was rushed to the hospital but died upon arrival. May his memory be a blessing.

At the same time, we remember Jerusalem—our undivided capital—and the miraculous reunification of this city and this country. After the Holocaust, after centuries of suffering, the fact that Jerusalem is in Jewish hands is nothing short of miraculous.

Christians around the world are also marking Ascension Day, remembering Yeshua’s ascension. And this Shabbat is especially meaningful, with Trump calling Americans to honor the Sabbath and remember the biblical heritage of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Then Sunday brings a national day of prayer in America—a call to unity, repentance, and dedication to God. These are remarkable times.

But while prayer and faith are rising, antisemitism is also surging in a dramatic and disturbing way. At Eurovision, Israel’s contestant is being prepared to keep singing even through boos, slurs, and disruptions. Several protesters were already removed from an arena in Vienna. Some countries—Ireland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Slovenia, and Spain—have boycotted the contest entirely.

It’s not only Europe’s cultural stage. In France, police reportedly foiled a terror plot targeting Jewish people at a museum. In Manhattan, antisemitic graffiti and violent slogans are appearing, including calls for dead Zionists. The NYPD is treating these as hate crimes and forming task forces to respond.

In Denmark, antisemitic incidents have reached record levels, with assaults, Nazi salutes, and harassment in schools. Many Danish Jews are now wondering whether they can be visibly Jewish without fear.

This is the disease of antisemitism—twisting good into evil and normalizing hatred. But we know the end of the story.

Isaiah 54:17 says: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.”

That is the heritage of the servants of the Lord.

They will not prevail against us.
