Update (Day 960) Swords of Iron “Nuclear Issue”
What a beautiful holiday time—to take off the uniform for once, wear white, eat traditional dairy foods like cheesecake, and remember the great gifts God gave us as a people. Shavuot, the Feast of Weeks, is a joyful time: people wearing white, flowers in their hair, dancing, celebrating.
And yet, the world still needs to change. Peace and security must return to this land and to the world.
Iran’s demands in the reported talks are outrageous: lift the naval blockade, end the war across the region, force American troops out, open the Strait of Hormuz yes but “leave nuclear matters for later”. But in the Middle East, “later” often means never.
Trump has been clear: Iran cannot have nuclear weapons. That is the line they won’t budge on—and it is the line we cannot budge on either.
Meanwhile, Israel is moving fast to counter Hezbollah’s deadly fiber-optic drones. These are serious threats, but new technologies—electromagnetic systems, energy-based defenses, and advanced battlefield tools—are being developed to protect our soldiers and civilians. A modern Israel, surrounded by enemies, must remain on the cutting edge.
There is also a major development at the ICC: some Palestinians from Gaza have filed a case accusing Hamas of war crimes against Palestinians. Finally, the truth is being said openly—Hamas uses the people of Gaza as human shields, sacrifices its own civilians for its terrorist agenda, and has devastated Gaza. Hamas must be removed.
The world often blames Israel while ignoring the reality: Hamas and Hezbollah embed themselves in homes, schools, hospitals, mosques, churches, and kindergartens. I’ve shown this again and again—rockets, weapons, and terror infrastructure hidden among civilians. Israel is not the problem. Terror is.
Flights to Israel remain disrupted as most international airlines suspend service. El Al continues flying, but many are waiting to see whether another escalation may come in the days or weeks ahead.
Israel is also improving how battlefield intelligence reaches frontline soldiers. New units are focused on gathering data and delivering it quickly to those who need it most. Knowledge is power, and speed saves lives.
Our Chief of Staff continues visiting wounded soldiers, thanking them for their resilience. I’ve done that too, and I want to do more. Some of these heroes will carry wounds and trauma for life. We must stand with them.
And while deception spreads online, we must speak truth. The word “Palestine” was historically used by outsiders for the land of Israel. Gaza itself holds Jewish history—ancient pottery, synagogues, mikvahs, and Second Temple-era remains. The truth is in the ground, while most Gazan surnames herald their foreign heritage.
