Day 221 Swords of Iron – “Gas Station Terror”

Chaim begins the video by saying that he’s filming from a gas station near the border with Gaza which was attacked on October 7th, 2023, and the owners barely escaped with their lives.

Chaim continues by saying it’s important to remember these atrocities and think about the heroes who stood up to defend the defenseless and keep Israel free over the decades. He mentions that Israel warned the residents of Rafah to evacuate the city because there is a need to go in and destroy the remaining Hamas battalions and rescue the remaining Israeli hostages there, and that operation is even now proceeding.

He mentions that there is pressure coming on Israel from the US to keep the operation limited, but Chaim says that the operation must go forward and Hamas must be utterly destroyed so it can’t threaten Israel again.

The scene shifts briefly to a man delivering ballistic helmets to soldiers and thanking the Aliyah Return Center for providing them.

Chaim concludes by quoting Deuteronomy 33:29; Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD, The shield of your help and the sword of your majesty! Your enemies shall submit to you, and you shall tread down their high places.”

(Day 734) Swords of Iron – The hostages are coming home!

Chaim starts by saying that he’s in Jerusalem (wearing civilian clothes) and he is so excited because the deal to release the remaining Israeli hostages held in Gaza has been signed and finalized. The hostages will be able to celebrate at least the last day or maybe two days of Succot, the Feast of Tabernacles.

(Day 731) Swords of Iron – “Where are the hostages?”

Chaim starts by talking about how he’s been mobilized in this war for two years, which is 10% of his adult life, and he’s seen and participated in many of the war’s most well-known campaigns. However, now is a special time because it is the Feast of Tabernacles and it’s time for the people of Israel to build temporary, flimsy structures to remind ourselves of the Exodus from Egypt when God watched over us and protected and provided for us despite the desperately insecure situation we were in.
