Day 301) Swords of Iron – “Tipping Point- Turning Point”

Chaim begins with a lament that Israel is still at war after 301 days, which few would have ever expected. But he says the worst might be yet to come as Israel is bracing for a large strike by Iran and its proxies in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. This could include hundreds of rockets, UAV’s, missiles and other weapons all fired at once from all directions.

This would be in response to Israel’s assassination of senior Hezbollah leader Fuad Shukur and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh over recent days. Chaim admits that Israel’s air defense systems can’t stop all the incoming weapons, and the mayor of Haifa is expecting 4,000 weapons to come at Israel every single day for several days. Obviously, Israel can’t stop all of them, and so there will be great carnage and destruction. It could start at any moment.

Chaim rhetorically asks “what do we do” and he answers his own question by inviting his viewers to join him in praying into the situation, with a special fast and prayer scheduled to start on Sunday evening and running through Monday, which is Tisha B’Av, the day on the Hebrew calendar which has historically been a day when disasters befall the Jewish People.

Israel is bracing for missiles to target the Knesset building in Jerusalem as well as the Prime Minister’s residence, strategic targets like IDF military headquarters in Tel Aviv, the natural gas platforms in the Meditteranean Sea, the ports of Haifa and Ashdod, and IDF military bases.

Chaim mentions a recent phone call between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Joe Biden, during which the possible evacuation of US citizens from the region was discussed.

Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, said that this is no longer a war between Israel and Hezbollah but it is a war between Israel and all Moslems everywhere. Some leaders of Moslem countries agreed, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan who threatened to invade Israel, while Jordan and Egypt appeared to disagree, saying they would intercept any weapons flying through their air space towards Israel.

But he concludes by saying that Israel and the IDF are persevering in the face of all this hatred and all these threats, the determination to free Israeli hostages and otherwise defend our country remains strong and we are determined to get the victory in this war.

(Day 627) Swords of Iron – “Going Ballistic on Beersheva”

Chaim starts by lamenting the destruction in Ber Sheva that was caused by a last-minute Iranian ballistic missile strike just before the cease-fire went into effect. But, he says, he’s glad to live in a country that cares about its citizens and works hard to protect them, even if sometimes the bad guys land a blow. On that note, Chaim gives some details that are known about what happened in Ber Sheva, including the facts that the missile that struck the building was one of a wave that Iran fired and many more lives could have been lost if people had not been in their bomb shelters.

(Day 625) Swords of Iron – “Kaboom!”

Chaim starts by cheering on the announcement by US President Donald Trump that the US has joined the war against Iran’s nuclear program, defending the free world against one of its most dangerous enemies by destroying the Fordow, Isfahan and Natanz nuclear facilities.

(Day 619) Swords of Iron – “Remember We Didn’t Start This”

Chaim starts by acknowledging that these are difficult times in Israel, with incoming ballistic missiles and drones, cruise missiles and other weapons. Hundreds of people have been rendered homeless and at least 25 have been killed, while many more have been wounded. Israelis have had to run to their bomb shelters on several occasions over the past five days, and sometimes we have to stay there for extended periods, but it’s very important for us to stay safe.
