Day 325 Swords of Iron – “Finishing the race well”

Chaim starts the video with the eponymous statement that it’s important to finish well. He cites examples of people who fail to finish well, like a runner who twists their ankle and falls just before crossing the finish line, or a motorist who crashes their car just minutes away from their home.

He says that this applies to the IDF’s efforts in Gaza. He says that there is still a lot of work to do there, especially in the city of Rafah. He says that some in Israel’s defense establishment believe the war is all but over, but Chaim says that this might be premature. In this context, he quotes Ecclesiastes 9:11; I again saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift and the battle is not to the warriors, and neither is bread to the wise nor wealth to the discerning nor favor to men of ability; for time and chance overtake them all.

He also quotes Deuteronomy 20:1-4; “When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you. When you are approaching the battle, the priest shall come near and speak to the people. He shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel, you are approaching the battle against your enemies today. Do not be fainthearted. Do not be afraid, or panic, or tremble before them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’

Chaim says that although this war is almost over, the struggle continues and the battle for the truth and against the lies of the enemy also continues.

The video concludes with a look at the Aliyah Return Center which is preparing to play its part in fulfilling Israel’s national destiny going forward.

(Day 812) Swords of Iron – “Upbringing”

Chaim starts by saying that Shabbat is over and it’s cold, wet and rainy where he’s filming from, but he’s glad to be alive. He says there is one more hostage in Gaza, but it’s a miracle that so many, living and dead, have been returned to Israel, and he gives thanks to God and people like US President Donald Trump who still believe in freedom and decency.

(Day 811) Swords of Iron – “T*rror in Galilee”

Chaim starts by addressing the common saying in Israel “Am Israel Chai” which translates as “the People of Israel live” and he says it seems odd to mention that, since all people live while they’re alive. But what makes it profound to say about the people of Israel is that there are many forces in the world who want to make it not be true and these forces are investing a lot of time, money, effort and resources to try and make it not be true.

(Day 810) Swords of Iron – “Light of the World”

Chaim starts by saying that during this holiday season of light and joy, people should hug their families and appreciate them. He says that here in Israel, we appreciate the friends and supporters from around the world who are praying for us and supporting us and sustaining us.
