ARC Israel Updates

Day 376 Swords of Iron – “Protected under the Tabernacle of David“

Chaim starts out with a gag about the Ark of the Covenant before moving on to some commentary about how it’s the beginning of Succot, which is a time when joy is COMMANDED by the Bible, and it’s a time of ingathering. In ancient times it was a time of ingathering the harvest and in modern time its significant in the narrative of ingathering the exiles.

He then says that Hezbollah is relentlessly firing rockets, missiles and UAV’s into the Galilee but the IDF is hitting back. In this context, he requests that if any donors out there want to send his unit a thermal drone he can use it. It’s expensive, but it’s one of the most useful tools they have in the battle against Hezbollah.

He also mentions the Jewish sailors on the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier who built a Succah to celebrate this festival even in a time of war.

He mentions some of the hardships including attempts to bribe Israeli citizens to carry out attacks on leaders and prominent scientists and also to carry out random shooting attacks on the roads.

In this context, he quotes Zechariah 14:16; And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

He also quotes Amos 9:11; “On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old;”

He also quotes Leviticus 24:32; You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths,

He mentions some other fun traditions that are associated with Succot and then he asks his viewers to keep standing with and praying for Israel.

(Day 689) Swords of Iron – “Will They Ever Learn?”

Chaim starts by saying that the Houthis in Yemen have been hit hard by the IDF in response to all the ballistic missiles and drones they keep firing at the one democracy in the Middle East, but they just don’t seem to be getting the message that it’s time to stop.

(Day 688) Swords of Iron – “No Greater Love”

Chaim starts out by saying that it’s very painful to see IDF soldiers killed in action. He’s filming from the site of a small memorial that have been built to these soldiers, to add the name of Lt. Ori Gerlic, 20, a platoon commander in the Kfir Brigade who was killed by an accidental premature explosion of a charge that had been set to demolish a Hamas position in Khan Yunis over the weekend.

(Day 687) Swords of Iron –  “Secret Weapon”

Chaim starts out by saying he wants to show his viewers a “secret weapon” that IDF soldiers carry into battle with them, and it’s cards with the Psalms and other Bible verses written on them. These cards, which soldiers carry so they can read the verses and proclaim them over themselves and their comrades and their country, give them spiritual strength when other forms of strength fail them.

(Day 686) Swords of Iron – “Gearing Up For Triumph”

Chaim starts by describing how many drones and rockets Hamas is firing at the humanitarian aid convoys as they’re on their way into the Gaza Strip, and he says that this is going on right out in the open and the international media is giving Hamas a pass on it once again. Meanwhile, there are some Palestinians who are standing up to Hamas, including the Abu Shabab militia, which don’t like Israel much but really hates Hamas and so they’re fighting Hamas for control of the streets in Gaza. Chaim says they might be helpful in the takeover of Gaza City.
