Day 392 Swords of Iron – “Keeping The Peace”

Chaim begins by saying he’s just going to talk to his viewers like friends, as it’s almost Shabbat and time to enter into a time of rest. But he says it’s difficult to relax because there’s been yet another threat from Iran of a “painful attack” on Israel in the next few days before the US election. This is on top of the usual rocket attacks from Hezbollah which are killing Israelis almost every day and the threats Chaim faces in his job as an IDF combat engineer.

He also mentions the deteriorating social, cultural, political and economic conditions all over the world which are leading to distressing circumstances.

Chaim says despite all these circumstances, we all need to keep our peace because we are called to operate from a place of peace. He says that it’s time to stand up strong for the truth and for righteousness, and the IDF is doing its part by removing the threat of Hezbollah’s planned invasion of the Galilee. They wanted to carry out an October 7th style attack on the Galilee communities, and it would have been on a much larger scale. But that’s been prevented and now the IDF is capturing massive quantities of weapons and ammunition that Hezbollah meant to use for this purpose.

Chaim mentions the rumors that Hezbollah has expressed a willingness to withdraw beyond the Litani River and accede to UN Security Council Resolution 1701. Chaim says he doesn’t know if that will actually happen but he predicts there will be “great changes” coming soon. But he also wonders why the UNIFIL and other people who were supposed to be making sure that Hezbollah didn’t set up positions near the Israeli border to threaten an invasion of the Galilee didn’t do their jobs.

He concludes by appealing to his viewers to support the Aliyah Return Center’s efforts to equip IDF troops with thermal drones so they can do their jobs more safely and effectively.

(Day 627) Swords of Iron – “Going Ballistic on Beersheva”

Chaim starts by lamenting the destruction in Ber Sheva that was caused by a last-minute Iranian ballistic missile strike just before the cease-fire went into effect. But, he says, he’s glad to live in a country that cares about its citizens and works hard to protect them, even if sometimes the bad guys land a blow. On that note, Chaim gives some details that are known about what happened in Ber Sheva, including the facts that the missile that struck the building was one of a wave that Iran fired and many more lives could have been lost if people had not been in their bomb shelters.

(Day 625) Swords of Iron – “Kaboom!”

Chaim starts by cheering on the announcement by US President Donald Trump that the US has joined the war against Iran’s nuclear program, defending the free world against one of its most dangerous enemies by destroying the Fordow, Isfahan and Natanz nuclear facilities.

(Day 619) Swords of Iron – “Remember We Didn’t Start This”

Chaim starts by acknowledging that these are difficult times in Israel, with incoming ballistic missiles and drones, cruise missiles and other weapons. Hundreds of people have been rendered homeless and at least 25 have been killed, while many more have been wounded. Israelis have had to run to their bomb shelters on several occasions over the past five days, and sometimes we have to stay there for extended periods, but it’s very important for us to stay safe.
