Day 397 Swords of Iron – “Victory”

Chaim starts out the video by congratulating US President-elect Donald Trump and referencing the congratulatory message Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who said it was “the greatest political comeback ever” and reaffirmed the strong alliance between Israel and the USA.

He says that now, victory in this war is achievable and possible. He says there is still a lot of work to do and there’s no guarantees of anything. He mentions that ongoing war and the expected Iranian attack.

He also mentions the political upheaval in Israel due to Netanyahu firing Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and replacing him with another minister, Yaakov Katz, the former Foreign Minister. He says that Netanyahu gave reasons for this that included reasons of national security.

Chaim also mentions the intense anti-terrorism campaign being waged in the Jordan Valley, which is where the Aliyah Return Center is located.

He once again mentions the Iranian strike on Israel that is being prepared, but he says he is not afraid because his trust is in the God of Israel. In this context, he quotes Psalms 145:19-21; He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. The Lord preserves all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy. My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord, and all flesh shall bless His holy name forever and ever.

He concludes by saying that the enemy will try, but they will fail, because they’re actually fighting against God Himself.

(Day 734) Swords of Iron – The hostages are coming home!

Chaim starts by saying that he’s in Jerusalem (wearing civilian clothes) and he is so excited because the deal to release the remaining Israeli hostages held in Gaza has been signed and finalized. The hostages will be able to celebrate at least the last day or maybe two days of Succot, the Feast of Tabernacles.

(Day 731) Swords of Iron – “Where are the hostages?”

Chaim starts by talking about how he’s been mobilized in this war for two years, which is 10% of his adult life, and he’s seen and participated in many of the war’s most well-known campaigns. However, now is a special time because it is the Feast of Tabernacles and it’s time for the people of Israel to build temporary, flimsy structures to remind ourselves of the Exodus from Egypt when God watched over us and protected and provided for us despite the desperately insecure situation we were in.
