ARC Israel Updates

(Day 486) Swords of Iron – “What do our enemies believe?”

Chaim starts by asking a rhetorical question about what the ideology behind Hamas and other similar groups is. He quotes a passage from the Koran, 17:4-5;

And We warned the Children of Israel in the Scripture, “You will certainly cause corruption in the land twice, and you will become extremely arrogant. When the first of the two warnings would come to pass, We would send against you some of Our servants of great might, who would ravage your homes. This would be a warning fulfilled.

Then in verse 17 it continues; “And when the second warning would come to pass, your enemies would ˹be left to˺ totally disgrace you and enter that place of worship as they entered it the first time, and utterly destroy whatever would fall into their hands.

Chaim says that this is an example of the retroactive prophecies in the Koran making reference to the First and Second Temples and the exiles that followed their destruction. According to a popular interpretation of these passages, God is finished with the Jewish People because they have disobeyed Him and there are many who see Hamas and the other terrorist groups as instruments of God’s righteous retribution and punishment of the Jews for their continued disobedience, especially their insistence on living in the Land God promised them in return for their obedience but which they’ve forfeited the right to by disobeying.

Chaim points to some other places in the Koran that reinforce these ideas, and he says it’s very sad that they’ve come to believe this and use it to justify their actions. Chaim adds that they also use more modern writings, including the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, which has long been known to be a fabricated hoax, but they hold it up as something that can and should be taken seriously, and they use it as justification for their hatred of Israel and Jews and their terrorism against Israel and Jews.

Chaim points out that there are other jihadist movements who also use this same ideology to justify and promote their worldview. It’s a vicious cycle and Chaim says that Israel is standing in the gap to protect the entire civilized world from this jihadist movement.

However, he also points out that there are currently demands being made for Palestinian terrorists to be released from Israeli prisons that would be massively dangerous, and he urges his viewers to continue praying into the situation.

In this context he quotes Judges 5:31; “Thus let all Your enemies perish, O Lord!
But let those who love Him be like the sun when it comes out in full strength.”

So the land had rest for forty years.

The video concludes with a scene of IDF soldiers in Gaza thanking the donors to the Aliyah Return Center for sending beef jerky for them to snack on and boost their own morale.

(Day 812) Swords of Iron – “Upbringing”

Chaim starts by saying that Shabbat is over and it’s cold, wet and rainy where he’s filming from, but he’s glad to be alive. He says there is one more hostage in Gaza, but it’s a miracle that so many, living and dead, have been returned to Israel, and he gives thanks to God and people like US President Donald Trump who still believe in freedom and decency.

(Day 811) Swords of Iron – “T*rror in Galilee”

Chaim starts by addressing the common saying in Israel “Am Israel Chai” which translates as “the People of Israel live” and he says it seems odd to mention that, since all people live while they’re alive. But what makes it profound to say about the people of Israel is that there are many forces in the world who want to make it not be true and these forces are investing a lot of time, money, effort and resources to try and make it not be true.

(Day 810) Swords of Iron – “Light of the World”

Chaim starts by saying that during this holiday season of light and joy, people should hug their families and appreciate them. He says that here in Israel, we appreciate the friends and supporters from around the world who are praying for us and supporting us and sustaining us.
