(Day 492) Swords of Iron – “2State Solution”

Chaim starts by mentioning that the IDF and civil defense teams in Israel just conducted a large-scale exercise in order to test readiness for a large outbreak of hostilities with Iran or possibly other emergency scenarios. These drills were conducted as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was returning from the US where he met with President Trump and other officials. Israeli President Isaac Herzog was also speaking out about the terrible condition the released hostages were in, physically and emotionally.

At the same time, Hamas is demanding that the IDF retreat from the Netzarim Corridor, allowing Hamas free movement between the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip. This will be tantamount to throwing away many of the gains that came at such a steep price in this war.

Chaim quotes a few different passages from the Bible that talk about the judgement that will fall on Gaza for the things the people there have done to the Children of Israel. And Chaim talks some more about all the conflicts and points of friction between Israelis and Palestinians.

Chaim says that Israel can’t afford to keep making the same mistakes and not learning the correct lessons and in this context, he asks his viewers to share their thoughts in the comments section about the idea of a “Two State Solution”. He asks if his viewers think that the establishment of a Palestinian State would bring peace, or if it would just lead to more problems.

He then goes on to say that it appears President Trump has abandoned the idea and is looking for other ideas.

Absorbing the Gazan “refugees” into Jordan and Egypt should be a workable, feasible, solution to the issues, not least because Jordan and Egypt have a large share of the responsibility for creating the problem of Palestinian refugees in the first place. Back in 1948, the governments of these countries told Palestinians living in this country to get out of the way so they could destroy the Jewish presence here, and then after the war of extermination that they planned, they said that these people would be able to go back to their home villages, cities, etc.

But that didn’t happen and that’s one of the biggest reasons we’re in this situation today. So it’s perfectly reasonable to ask these countries to accept Palestinian refugees now.

Chaim says it’s very obvious that the Iranians and the Arab countries are not really interested in helping the Palestinians, they just want to use them as a weapon against Israel. That’s something that President Trump seems to understand, and he’s acting on this understanding.

Chaim ends by declaring his belief that if we keep our fatih and our focus on God and His plans, it will be a wonderful future for all of us.
