Are You Making Aliyah?

(Day 516) Swords of Iron – “Will they evacuate?

Chaim starts out by talking about the incoming IDF Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, who made a speech at his swearing-in ceremony in which he acknowledged the failures which led up to the massacres on October 7th, 2023, but declared that these problems will be addressed and also adding some of his own thoughts about what’s going to happen going forward.

He said that the “people’s army” will come back from this failure and rebuild and reorganize and prevent this disaster from being repeated. He also points out that this will require a lot of hard work, and sacrifice and it will also cost a lot of money. Chaim agrees and on that note he makes an appeal to his viewers to support the Aliyah Return Center’s “Emergency Aid Initiative” which has provided tactical equipment including body armor, helmets, Leatherman multi-tools, boots and thermal drones to soldiers which make it possible for them to do their jobs more safely.

Chaim also says that the IDF”s transparency and willingness to admit to having made mistakes is leading to a restoration of public trust in the military, and this is important because the only way Israel can have peace is through deterrence. Chaim says that the Egyptians offered a half-baked plan to care for the residents of Gaza which wouldn’t even need to include the removal of Hamas, but Hamas rejected it anyway. They still have a fanatical dream to destroy Israel and there’s nothing that will prevent them from acting on this impulse except Israeli power.

The Egyptian plan, which has been endorsed by the Arab League, doesn’t address the core issues. The most that can be said is that it treats some of the symptoms of the problem, but it leaves the core of the problem intact. The core of the problem is that the Palestinians are stuck in eternal “refugee” status, not allowed to leave and be resettled somewhere else. This is being done because no one wants to solve this problem as it would remove a major obstacle to Israel’s flourishing, which many people and many governments all over the world simply don’t want to see happen.

US President Donald Trump has proposed a plan which will actually address this problem and fix it in a permanent way, and all those people who have been resisting efforts to seriously address this problem for 80 years now are furious and terrified.

One of the parties which is furiously opposing Israel is Iran, and Chaim agrees with those who say it’s time to seriously address that problem by launching a military strike on Iran’s nuclear weapons production facilities.

Speaking of military operations, Chaim reminds his viewers that the Aliyah Return Center still has it’s “Emergency Aid Initiative” in place so that supporters can help buy needed equipment for IDF soldiers so they can more safely and effectively carry out their missions.

He concludes by once again quoting Joshua 1:9; Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
