(Day 529) Swords of Iron – “Overwhelming Force”

Chaim starts by announcing that the cease-fire which began in late January is over and Israel is going back into Gaza full force to complete the mission of rescuing the remaining hostages and destroying Hamas. He lists several senior Hamas officials who have been taken out just in the initial wave of strikes.

Next he mentions that the US is striking the Houthis in Yemen with overwhelming force, because all the half-measures taken up till now in order to deal with the Houthis have not been enough to force them to quit attacking ships in international waters.

Getting back to Hamas, Chaim says the time has come to also strike them with overwhelming force because negotiations failed to produce results, despite the best efforts of the mediators including US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff. Israel offered Hamas everything it could in order to try and entice them into releasing more hostages and nothing worked, so the time for carrots ended and the time for a big stick has come.

Next Chaim mentions the reports that an Iranian island has turned “blood red” just before Passover. This might be a “natural” phenomenon but nonetheless, many people are taking it as a sign that Iran’s time is almost up and they need to stop terroizing Israel and sponsoring others who want to terrorize Israel.

Chaim says that the time has come for a different approach to Iran, and the Iranians themselves seem to understand that because the Ayatollah regime has placed all their forces on maximum alert in anticipation of a possible American-led attack against them.

Chaim concludes by quoting Joshua 10:24; So it was, when they brought out those kings to Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the captains of the men of war who went with him, “Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings.” And they drew near and put their feet on their necks. Then Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; be strong and of good courage, for thus the Lord will do to all your enemies against whom you fight.”
