Chaim starts out by saying that history is coming to an inflection point as the IDF re-takes many areas of the Gaza Strip that it withdrew from at the beginning of the cease-fire in January and also goes into areas it missed the first time around. THe IDF has also settled accounts with some of the major terrorist leaders of Hamas, including the individual responsible for the abduction and murder of Shiri Bibas and her children.
However, as always, the IDF is doing their best to ensure that collateral damage is kept to a minimum. This principle is also holding up in Lebanon as the IDF continues to pound targets associated with Hezbollah and has also eliminated some members of Hamas who were trying to hide out in Lebanon and use that country as a base to attack Israel.
Meanwhile, there is an alarming buildup of Egyptian Army forces in the Sinai Penninsula. This is a violation of the 1979 Camp David Accords, and although these forces are ostensibly being deployed to battle terrorists and criminal gangs who are a threat to Israel as well as Egypt, there is still concern about the precedent this is setting. The US and Israel are in diplomatic discussions with the regime in Cairo to try and deal with this situation, but Chaim says he’s trusting in the Lord to sort it out. In this context, he quotes Micah 5:8; And the remnant of Jacob
Shall be among the Gentiles, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep, who, if he passes through, both treads down and tears in pieces, and none can deliver.
Chaim says that it’s time to remember this passage and be like a lion.
The scene then shifts to a ZIM shipping crate packed full of donations that supporters around the world have sent to the Aliyah Return Center so that they can be distributed to people in Israel who need them.
Chaim thanks these supporters for their generosity and love for Israel.
