Chaim starts by saying that he’s preparing to attend the funeral of Yaron Lischinsky, 30, and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, 26, two young Israelis diplomats who were murdered in Washington DC by a Pro-Palestinian terrorist last week. Israeli diplomatic missions around the world have increased their security and they are also flying their flags at half mast this week, even as some American officials including US Representative Ilan Omar of Minnesota coldly declined to comment on the attack.
Meanwhile, the IDF is preparing to go into Gaza with full force on Sunday, with Operation Gideon’s Chariots set to move residents from the north to the South and completely clear out areas where Hamas is still operating while a private American company distributes humanitarian aid to the civilians in the designated safe zones.
There are images of “normal life” in the safe zones, with people receiving aid, swimming in the ocean and just generally living their lives. Hamas is doing everything it can to prevent this, to harrass and extort the people of Gaza, because that’s how they function.
In this context, Chaim quotes Zepheniah 2:9; Therefore, as I live,” Says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, “Surely Moab shall be like Sodom, and the people of Ammon like Gomorrah, overrun with weeds and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation. The residue of My people shall plunder them, and the remnant of My people shall possess them.”
He also quotes Jeremiah 47:2; Thus says the Lord: “Behold, waters rise out of the north, And shall be an overflowing flood; They shall overflow the land and all that is in it, The city and those who dwell within; Then the men shall cry, And all the inhabitants of the land shall wail.
Chaim says these are dire times and we all need to remember God’s promises and get involved in His agenda. In this context he quotes Joel 2:28-29; “And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
With these passages in mind, Chaim asks his viewers to join him in prayer for Israel.
