Chaim starts by talking about the difference between “misinformation,” which might be a mistake and “disinformation,” which is a deliberate act of deceit designed to make yourself look better then you deserve to, or make someone else look worse than they deserve to.
As an example of “disinformation” Chaim talks about the Iranian claims that they not only won the war, but delivered a “crushing blow” to Israel that nearly destroyed the country before the Americans came to our rescue. Chaim says this is not only “disinformation” but it is a ludicrously absurd lie. However, some people want to know how bad the damage Israel suffered was, so he offers a brief look, including the fact that 31 out of approximately 551 Iranian ballistic missiles managed to penetrate the air defense systems and did some painful damage to Israeli cities. 28 people were killed by missile impacts, one died of a heart attack while running to a shelter and around 1,500 people were injured, most of them lightly.
These relatively low casualty numbers are because most Israelis have a protected space they can enter when the alert comes in that a missile in on its way, so they are safe even when a missile lands nearby.
However, even many people who were not injured lost their homes to the damage from the missile impacts so there are almost 14,000 newly homeless people in Israel who will need new places to live, or maybe just temporarily have to move out until their homes can be repaired.
Altogether, the missile attacks caused around $1.3 billion in property damage across Israel.
In response, Israel is buying around $510 million worth of bombs and missiles from the US to restock after the 12-day Rising Lion air campaign against Iran that managed to destroy most of their ballistic missile launchers, much of their stockpiles of ammunition and their nuclear infrastructure.
Although the cost was high, and Israelis are going to have to pay a lot of money in taxes, the benefits of this situation are also notable. Chaim says that Israel is a recognized global power despite being small in size and population, shortage of natural resources and other issues.
Paraphrasing a recent article written in a British newspaper, Chaim says that despite all the reasons why Israel should be a small, relatively powerless country, it is instead an immensely powerful country and something about that doesn’t add up in the natural. Thre has to be an explanation that is not natural, and that really bothers a lot of people.
They don’t want to acknowledge the God of Israel Who is real and relevant in the world today, so instead they make up excuses about how illegitimate Israel is, saying Israel is cheating somehow, or getting used by America, or using some other illegitimate means.
But it’s not any of that, it’s God’s promises and commitment to this country and these people.
Chaim mentions some people in the Bible who stood with Israel although they were not of the house of Israel, and they were rewarded. There are many more people from the nations who stood against Israel, and they were rewarded too, but not in a way that they enjoyed.
Chaim says that now more than ever, there is an opportunity to make the right choice, stand with Israel instead of against it, and receive a good reward. He implores his viewers to make the right choice.
