(Day 636) Swords of Iron – “Ceasefire Proposal: Keep Your Eye On The Ball”

Chaim starts by pointing out that in both Israel and Iran, everyone is trying ot pick up the peices from the 12-Day War, but in Iran, there’s a lot more pieces to try and pick up. Despite the terrible beating they took, the Ayatollahs seem to think they can continue their quest for nuclear weapons and are doing everything they can to try and get their centrifuges spinning again. President Trump has warned them not to, and so has Prime Minister Netanyahu, but they might not have learned anything from the last round of strikes on them so there might need to be another round.

Meanwhile, the IDF is on the move in the Gaza Strip. There are Palestinian clans and factions that are partnering with the IDF to try and get rid of the remaining Hamas infrastructure, even as a “cease-fire” proposal is being debated. The cease-fire proposal sounds a lot like several previous proposals that went nowhere because Hamas said they were agreeing but only on their own terms, which were completely different then the terms they were being offered.

Chaim describes the minutiae of what is being offered and what Hamas is counter-offering and the bottom line is that, as Prime Minister Netanyahu has long maintained, as long as Hamas remains intact in the Gaza Strip, there’s nothing to discuss. Because this terrorist organization is like a toxic weed that can’t be trimmed, it must be uprooted. Chaim agrees, saying that although it’s hard on the soldiers, it’s something that simply must be done.

Speaking of which, the IDF is also operating in Lebanon and Syria, neutralizing threats originating in the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. This is also an ongoing process that requires them to “keep their eyes on the ball” at all times, and never let their guard down even for a moment.

However, it is becoming more and more apparent that this is not enough, and God is also performing many miracles to help Israel in this time of trial and crisis. This includes the perfect operational order in which the engines and systems of all the aircraft which were flying over Iran were kept. When they landed, the ground crews checked all the systems and found that despite flying long round trips and making attack runs, evasive maneuvers, etc. the planes were in great shape and didn’t require much maintenance.

In this context, he concludes by quoting Ezekial 36:23; And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,” says the Lord God, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.
