(Day 649) Swords of Iron – “Syrian Capital Bombed!!”

Chaim starts by noting that President Trump has met with the leader of Qatar in an effort to make progress towards a cease-fire in Gaza, while the IDF is tired of the diplomatic games and just wants to finish the job. That means rescuing the hostages and finishing off Hamas as a military and political force in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, Israel has gone to the rescue of the Druze in Syria, who are under attack from Sunni Bedouin tribes as well as jihadist elements in the “regular” Syrian military. Israeli Druze leaders are saying that the way to protect the Druze of Syria is to take out Abu Muhammed Al-Jolani, who was an Al Qaeda terrorist in the past and who has never really given that up, although he’s tried to make appearances that he is changing.

Chaim says that Israel doesn’t want a war with Al-Jolani’s forces, but we can’t sit by and watch our Druze allies be massacred.

Therefore, the Israeli Air Force struck regime targets in Damascus and also heavy weapons including tanks, armored vehicles and rocket launchers that were on their way south to As-Suweida to ostensibly “break up” the fights between the Druze and the Beduoin but in reality, they were joining the battle on the side of the Beduoin against the Druze.

Israel cannot and will not allow the Druze to be massacred, but the regime in Damascus doesn’t appear to be ready to back down. Because of this, Israel might have to engage in an even bigger war to push that threat back. In this context, Chaim quotes Isaiah 17:1; The burden against Damascus. “Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap.”

Chaim concludes by asking all his viewers to stay safe and continue in prayer for Israel.
