Chaim starts by saying he thinks there must be a lot of people in Western countries who think Israel just wants to fight all its neighbors, but this is the exact opposite of the truth. Israel is tired of fighting but it MUST fight to protect the Druze in southern Syria, because they’re connected by family to the Druze in Israel, as well as the Druze in southern Lebanon.
The Druze community in southern Syria was in the process of suffering devestating cruelty and violence by jihadist forces aligned with the Al-Jolani regime in Damascus, and the IDF stepped in to protect them and push back the jihadists. Without Israeli intervention, there would have been an even greater massacre, which would probably even now be proceeding.
Chaim says there is an idea which is beginning to circulate in the West that the Druze, as well as the Alawites who suffered a massacre in March, must have done something to the wonderful, peace-loving followers of Al-Jolani to prompt retaliation, but Chaim says the jihadist forces are not “retaliating” for anything, they’re simply lashing out at minorities because they can. Al-Jolani himself is being very dishonest in the way he’s presenting this situation to the world, but no one should be surprised by that.
Meanwhile, events are moving forward in Gaza, and back in Israel, there is a crisis in the governing coalition of the Knesset because the Ultra-Orthodox parties have quit the government over the issue of Haredi youth being conscripted into the IDF.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps are continuing to arm the Houthis in Yemen, and Chaim says they better wise up.
He concludes by quoting Isaiah 19:24-25; In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria—a blessing in the midst of the land, whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.”
