(Day 660) Swords of Iron – “AirDrop So Hamas Can’t Steal It”

Chaim starts by commenting on the absurdity of this situation, whereby the UN has failed so badly to distribute the enormous quantity of humanitarian aid that has been sent to the Gaza Strip from all over the world that now the IDF has to devote time and resources to airdropping it over the refugee camps so the residents can retrieve it.

Chaim says that it’s even more absurd that this is happening at the same time as IDF soldiers continue to be killed in action while fighting Hamas. Hamas is very good at guerrilla warfare and using Improvised Explosive Devices, and Chaim says the IDF just has to be careful and keep their eyes open as best they can.

At the same time, Chaim says that he’s seen with his own eyes the amount of trucks loaded with food and water heading into the Strip, and he’s also seen evidence that these trucks are being hijacked and the cargo stolen by Hamas and by others.

He also mentions the threats by Iran to resume attacks on Israel, and the efforts made by the Air Force to destroy the threat from Iran’s EMP program, which could have been devastating to Israel.

Back to Gaza, Chaim mentions Abu Shabab, a Palestinian tribal militia that is opposed to Hamas, and has managed to take control of most of Rafah, which has allowed the residents of that city to begin rebuilding their lives in a post-war environment. It’s the beginning of a hopeful solution to the problems posed by Hamas, and Chaim says he’s hopeful it will work out.

He also mentions the massacre of the Druze in southern Syria, and he says that it’s similar to what happened to Israelis on October 7th. He adds in this context that he thinks anyone who defends Hamas, or any similar jihadist group, should be ashamed of themselves.

On that note, Chaim mentions that the negotiations meant to bring this war to an end have completely broken down and now Hamas is back to making maxamalist demands and threatening to kill he hostages if Israeli forces try to rescue them.

Amidst all this, US President Trump says Hamas is to blame for the lack of a cease-fire and many other responsible parties, including the Egyptian mediators, agree. But much of the international media continues to put the blame on Israel, and Chaim says it makes him wonder what planet these people live on.

In this context, he concludes by quoting Isaiah 49:25; “But thus says the Lord: “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible be delivered;
For I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children.”
