(Day 664) Swords of Iron – “Rewarding terrorism with a state?!”

Chaim starts by saying that he’s filming in a bomb shelter, where millions of Israelis have been spending a lot of time over the past 22 months of this war as tens of thousands of missiles, rockets and drones have been fired at us by Iran and its terrorist proxies. However, after all that, Israelis are now being hit by some more bad news in the form of major Western European countries threatening to recognize a Palestinian State and giving little in the way of justification beyond an apparent belief that Israel deserves to suffer a diplomatic setback as a punishment for its military victories.

Chaim says he is flabbergasted by this development and he rhetorically asks if this is the way democracies reward a terrorist entity for its barbaric acts of murder, rape and torture.

He also says that this is making him think Israel made a mistake by disengaging and evacuating from the settlement communities in the Gaza Strip in 2005.

He also has a message for those governments that are considering recognizing a Palestinian State, saying that the Palestinians have never asked for a State of their own living in peace alongside Israel. They declare over and over again that this is not what they want, but rather they want to get rid of Israel and establish their state on Israel’s ruins.

Chaim says that Hamas has consistently rejected all offers of peace and having a Palestinian State of their own and Western governments should hold them accountable for that, not capitulate to them.

Speaking of which, Chaim mentions the vandalism attacks on the New York Times building in New York when they retracted their false story about Israel orchestrating a starvation campaign in Gaza.

Chaim says this is what happens when terrorists and their supporters are emboldened.

Chaim says that when terrorists are appeased, they just get more aggressive, and he urges Western governments not to go down that road. In this context, he concludes by quoting Deuteronomy 20:4; for the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’
