(Day 686) Swords of Iron – “Gearing Up For Triumph”

Chaim starts by describing how many drones and rockets Hamas is firing at the humanitarian aid convoys as they’re on their way into the Gaza Strip, and he says that this is going on right out in the open and the international media is giving Hamas a pass on it once again. Meanwhile, there are some Palestinians who are standing up to Hamas, including the Abu Shabab militia, which don’t like Israel much but really hates Hamas and so they’re fighting Hamas for control of the streets in Gaza. Chaim says they might be helpful in the takeover of Gaza City.

Next Chaim gives a little history of his unit, the Yahlom Combat Engineers, which was founded way back in 1948 and mostly disposed of bombs and handled unexploded ordnance and such like. Then in 1982, some other elite units got folded into it and later on they were trained to enter complicated spaces using specialized equipment, including locksmiths and such like.

Later, the unit also took on responsibility for monitoring Nuclear, Chemical and Biological threats to the IDF and later still, specialized units within Yahlom were developed for underground operations, and that’s what Chaim was trained in.

To sum up, Yahalom commandos have been heavily involved in some of the most intense battles of this war, and many past wars, and Chaim says that many of the scars and wounds that old soldiers like him carry are unseen. So, he says, as they gear up for the final showdown with Hamas in Gaza City, which everyone hopes will be the last battle that finally brings this war to an end, he asks his viewers to be in prayer for these unseen scars and wounds.

On this note, Chaim points out that in Iran, the Ayatollah regime is threatening to hit the US Capital of Washington DC next. But Chaim says that they, along with all the other terrorists in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and beyond should beware, because although it’s taking Israel and the allies in the free world a long time to meticulously prepare and get ready to strike the final blow, when it comes, it will indeed be the final blow. Chaim says that a lot of people are going to have to be mobilized and prepared, trained, equipped and made ready for this final battle. 

In this context, he concludes by quoting Psalms 44:5-7; Through You we will push down our enemies; through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us. For I will not trust in my bow, nor shall my sword save me. But You have saved us from our enemies, and have put to shame those who hated us.
