(Day 715) Swords of Iron – “Trumpets in Jerusalem and the ‘Charlie Effect”

Chaim starts by saying that in Israel, people are processing the assassination of Charlie Kirk as if they’ve lost a member of their own family. He adds that all over the world, people are having a hard time making a distinction between hate speech and speech they hate. There is a growing trend towards approving of censorship and violence.

But Chaim says that this is the exact opposite of what Charlie Kirk wanted, and he also wouldn’t have wanted people to twist his legacy of strong support for Israel and the Jewish people.

Speaking of which, the Feast of Trumpets is coming up, and it commemorates an event that happened over 4,000 years ago when God came down and communed with Moses on Mount Sinai, giving him the Torah and the Ten Commandments. Moses was the leader of the Children of Israel, and today, their descendants are back in the Land of Israel and we remember these events which formed our people every year in these festivals.

In this context, Chaim quotes one of the foundational Bible verses of the Jewish people, Deuteronomy 6:5; You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

He also reminds his viewers that Yeshua (Jesus) quoted this verse and also Leviticus 19:18 when He said “you shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Chaim says these are not just ancient tribal poetry, but they are the foundational principles that formed the basis of Western Civilization. Chaim said that this is one of the things Charlie valued in Israel, and it motivated him to take the values taught in the Bible and apply them to the problems of modern life. He took them with him when he went to university campuses all over the United States and beyond to debate and hash out issues with students and others.

He also honored the Biblical Shabbat, and he believed in redemption instead of rejection. He believed in unity instead of division and seeing the value in each person, because they’re made in the image of God.

Charlie Kirk believed, and Chaim agrees with him, that a fear of God is the foundation of a successful society and you don’t want to live in a Godless society. Chaim says that the assassination of Charlie Kirk is a hint of what will happen if we enter into this Godless society.

But there is a Shofar blast being heard around the world in this time, to give people a choice, and it’s a call to action. People need to get busy, stand up and take a stand for righteousness and truth, just like Charlie Kirk did. This is what is necessary if people want to continue living in freedom and liberty, and avoid a new Dark Age.

Chaim then transitions to speaking about the four blast of the Shofar that we go through in this season. The first is “kia” when a king is being crowned. It is a long, steady blast, and it is meant to be a joyful sound and it is referenced in Psalms 98:6; With trumpets and the sound of a horn; Shout joyfully before the Lord, the King.

Then there is “shfareem” which is three short, quick blasts of the Shofar. This is meant to signify a time of repentance, as it says in Joel 2:12-17; “Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. Who knows if He will turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him, a grain offering and a drink offering for the Lord your God?

Blow the trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly; Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, and the bride from her dressing room. Let the priests, who minister to the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, “Spare Your people, O Lord, and do not give Your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’ ”

Then there is “teurah” which is like an alarm, because an enemy is attacking. This is referenced in Numbers 10:9; “When you go to war in your land against the enemy who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the Lord your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.”

Finally, there’s “kia gdola” which is like an ascending sound of the Shofar blast and this will be the sound that God makes at the end of the Age, as is referenced in Zecheriah 14:9; And the Lord shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be, “The Lord is one,” and His name one.

Chaim said that this is the destination of the journey we’re all on, and the human race is n a collision course with Jerusalem. Everyone needs to make a decision about where they stand in regards to this city and the plans and purposes that God has for it. There are many lies being told about this city and the Jewish People who God planted here, and people have to take a stand on how they’re relating to all that.

He adds that wherever people are watching this video all over the world, the lies and deceit being thrown at Israel right now are going to affect them. Because this is all setting the stage for another global conflict, just as the years leading up to the last global conflict, known to history as WWII, were characterized by lies and deciet and propaganda against the Jewish People, but also against the Church of Jesus Christ and other foundations of civilization.

That same process is happening now, and all four of the types of shofar blasts should be sounding in our minds and consciences right now. The time to let other people speak up is over. Christians and people of faith all over the world need to stand up and let their voices be heard.

Chaim says the time to say “I can” is over and the time to say “I will” has arrived. We all need to repent for wrong attitudes and actions and ideas and policies we’ve held to and supported and even encouraged others to adopt. There are many wrong ideas about Jerusalem and Israel and that includes theological errors taught and practiced by the Christian churches.

Chaim then formally introduces himself to those in his audience who don’t already know him and the work he does for the Aliyah Return Center and the fact that he’s been mobilized in the IDF reserves for over 700 straight days now, ever since October 7th, 2023. He adds that he is a Jewish Israeli, a Hebrew speakers, although he has an American accent when he speaks English because he grew up in the United States and made aliyah with his family when he was 15 years old.

He tells the viewers that he has three kids and has made his home in the Galilee and his non-profit helps local Arabs as well as new Jewish immigrants in various ways. He wants to partner with other organizations who have the same mission. He is also a Zionist because it says 150 times in the Bible that God loves “Zion” and that’s important to remember.

Chaim also says that the ARC believes, along with US President Donald Trump, that all 48 hostages remaining in Gaza, the living and the dead, should be released.

In this context, Chaim quotes Isaiah 41:10; Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Chaim also says that going forward, even to “Armageddon” which could happen tomorrow or in another thousand years, God WILL fight for Israel. In this context, he quotes Deuteronomy 31:6; Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Chaim concludes by saying that everyone can sense the end drawing near, the wrapping up of prophetic history and the end of the Age. The spiritual battles are intensifying and the Jewish people are coming home to Zion as the prophecies said they would just before the end of the Age. Chaim says that the nations have a role to play in this drama, and he urges his viewers to play their own parts. He urges them not to be afraid of Pharoah and his army, or any other force that tries to come against them and stop them from living out the calling that God has put on their lives.
