(Day 726) Swords of Iron – “Redemption Resilience and Atonement”

Chaim starts by mentioning some of the Israeli women who were kidnapped and murdered on October 7th, 2023, and he says that there are still shooting attacks happening on a regular basis in different places in Israel, which is why he still carries his weapon with him everywhere he goes, so he can put a stop to any shooting attacks which happen when he is nearby.

He also says that even though Israelis have come through some very tough times, they’re still singing, dancing, and celebrating their culture and religion.

He also says that those who believe that giving the Palestinians a state will stop the global jihadist movement, or even stop terrorism from coming out of Gaza, are very much mistaken. We need to learn from our mistakes and stop trying to trade security, which is difficult and expensive, for a false sense of “peace,” which can end up costing you everything.

In this context, he quotes Deuteronomy 31:6; Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

He says that one of the best things Israelis can do is rejoice, as this will drive our enemies crazy and give great comfort to our friends and allies.

Meanwhile, Chaim notes that there were just massive crowds coming to the Western Wall in Jerusalem’s Old City to join prayers for Yom Kippur, and he concludes by quoting Psalms 91:1-4; He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
