(Day 748) Swords of Iron – “Pitch Black”
Chaim starts by saying that after spending two years in pitch black tunnels, the Israeli hostages have emerged into the light and they’re home with their families, celebrating Shabbat and the light is breaking out. They’re seeing that righteousness prevails, although it’s not always immediately obvious.
Chaim then lists the names of some of the Hamas terrorists who have recently been eliminated, including some guys who were part of abducting Israelis on October 7th, 2023.
However, Chaim points out the danger from the way Palestinian children are educated to hate and to repeat the cycles of violence and terrorism, making the same mistakes their parents and their parents made over and over again, never learning a lesson.
Speaking of which, Hezbollah appears to have learned nothing from the stomping they received last year. They continue to try and rearm, reorganize and prepare for another round of hostilities with Israel.
Chaim also asks his viewers to pray for the hostages to be able to recover from their trauma, and for that matter, all the people in Israel who have been traumatized by the events of the last two years. The Jewish people used ot have the trauma of the Holocaust lingering in their collective consciousness, but now there’s more trauma on top of that.
He also asks for prayers that Hamas would honor the ceasefire, disarm, hand over the remains of the hostages who were murdered in captivity and otherwise move forward into something positive instead of endlessly going back to a negative path.
Chaim concludes by quoting Isaiah 43:1-2; But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
nor shall the flame scorch you.
