(Day 749) Swords of Iron – “Egyptians are searching for the Hostage bodies”
Chaim starts by telling his viewers that he’s out of uniform, taking a short break from the IDF reserves and home with his family in the Galilee. However, he’s been told that he needs to remain vigilant, although there is a fragile ceasefire in Gaza, there is plenty going on in the north and on other fronts.
Meanwhile, American drones have been deployed in the skies over Gaza to observe the ceasefire and see who is violating it.
There are also soldiers from different countries assembling in the south of Israel to observe and enforce various aspects of the ceasefire, and Chaim wonders what will happen with that. At the same time, Lebanese media portals are reporting on Israeli drone strikes against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.
Back in Gaza, Hamas is playing games, claiming not to know where the remains of the slain hostages are. But Chaim says he’s quite sure they do know, they’re just stalling for time, trying to retain some leverage over Israel in ongoing ceasefire negotiations.
Chaim also muses a little bit about the controversy surrounding the passage of bills in the Knesset meant to advance plans for Israel to annex Judea and Samaria. It does not appear that progress is being made on these bills at the moment, and we all have to see what will happen next with that. Chaim asks his viewers to comment on what they think should happen next.
Also, things are in motion regarding Turkey, where President Erdogan is indulging in some very serious delusions of grandeur, which have all the other countries in the region on edge. Chaim says it’s very important to be watchful and take these things seriously.
There are also serious lingering threats in southern Lebanon and Syria, and the Houthis in Yemen aren’t done either, but Chaim says he believes that God will restore all that was lost over the past two years while Israelis were needing to run to bomb shelters, evacuate their homes, serve in the IDF reserves to fight the war, and so on. In this context, he quotes Zephaniah 3:17; The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”
On that note, Chaim concludes by asking his viewers to pray for rain in Israel, as we had a dry winter last year and we need water. He adds that the entire Middle East needs water, and he also asks his viewers to continue praying for full victory on all fronts in this war.
