(Day 774) Swords of Iron – “Buffer Zone, Security, and Abraham Accords Expansion”
Chaim starts by saying that although the IDF wants to remaining hostages to be returned to Israel so they can receive a dignified burial, the main thing that has to be kept in mind is protecting the sheep of the people of Israel from the wolves.
Chaim says that the Israeli airstrike this week on a compound in southern Lebanon, which resulted in the deaths of several terrorists, some from Hamas and also other organizations, was a pinpoint strike on an imminent threat. But the media in many countries, especially in the Arab-language media, are being very dishonest about what has just happened. They’re also being dishonest about a visit PM Netanyahu paid to the IDF buffer zone in Syria this week to demonstrate that Israel is not going to abandon these positions and let the terrorists regroup there.
Also, the UN released a report this week in which they admit that levels of obesity are higher in Gaza than among Israelis. This came after two years in which we endlessly heard about Israel pushing a “starvation campaign” on the Palestinians to try and bring them to their knees. Chaim says all of Hamas’ groupies in the West have some explaining to do, but he doesn’t expect them to admit they lied and believed Hamas’ lies.
Chaim also mentions the visit to the White House by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman in which he said he wants to invest $1 trillion in the US and in return, President Trump promised him a bunch of goodies including the F-35. Bin Salman also said he wants to see a pathway to a Palestinian State. Chaim says this is a mixed picture, but he believes God will watch out for Israel’s interests in this situation, as He always does.
Meanwhile, the IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir says that the IDF might have to finish the job of cleansing Hamas from the Gaza Strip as political solutions are not working.
On this note, Chaim concludes by quoting Proverbs 21:31; The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of the Lord.
