(Day 776) Swords of Iron – “Tunnels, and the trail to 🇮🇱 triumph”
Chaim starts by saying that he’s in Jerusalem and he’s standing in front of a poster with the hostages’ faces on it. There are still remains of three hostages who were murdered in captivity which have not yet been returned to Israel for burial, but Chaim says he had almost lost hope that there would be as many hostages returned, both living and dead, as there have been.
He adds that it’s unbelievable that Hamas has used children’s schools, hospitals and other civilian infrastructure as cover for their military facilities (especially tunnels) and they’re not even trying to hide it. In fact, they’re now releasing videos they took of themselves using these tunnel entrances right inside these civilian facilities.
Chaim also shows some video that’s been filmed inside the amazingly complex tunnel system that was built under Gaza, and he says that the terrorists inside these tunnels don’t care about the cease-fire; they continue to emerge and try to attack IDF troops and they get eliminated every time they try, but that doesn’t seem to deter them.
Hamas has also said publicly that they have no intention of disarming as the ceasefire they agreed to stipulates. In response, IDF chief of staff Eyal Zamir says that the IDF is prepared to retake the entire Gaza Strip and completely wipe out Hamas if that’s what is needed.
Other leaders are talking about what they think should happen next in the Gaza Strip, and the Saudis are trying to buy a voice by investing about $1 trillion in the US economy, but ultimately, it will be the actions (or failure to act) by Hamas is Gaza which will determine what happens next. If they disarm as they agreed to, then the ceasefire will continue, but if they keep playing games, Israel will do what it has to do.
Chaim says that Iran is going to continue trying to stir up the “axis of resistance” to attack Israel from various fronts, but they will fail. In this context, he quotes Isaiah 54:17; No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.
