(Day 792) Swords of Iron – “Hidden Plans”
Chaim starts by saying that the soldiers of the IDF are tired after over two years of war, but he also quotes Psalm 121:1-2: “I lift up my eyes to the mountains, where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
He also mentions a recent tour of IDF positions in the Gaza Strip by IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, especially along the “Yellow Line” which he said was ‘the new border of Israel.”
Chaim also says that the IDF is continuously demolishing tunnels, launchers and other terror infrastructure, both in the Gaza Strip and also in southern Lebanon, and that’s the way to keep the threat at bay. However, it was a setback to lose the leader of the Al Shabab anti-Hamas militia in Gaza these past few days, but his deputy stepped up to replace him and they are continuing to operate.
Meanwhile, there was an attempted car-ramming attack on an IDF checkpoint near Hebron, south of Jerusalem, and amidst all this activity, Hezbollah in Lebanon has responded to the assassination of their chief of staff by releasing a music video, which is actually kind of entertaining. But it’s definitely not intimidating, and Chaim kind of rolls his eyes at it and says he hopes that’s the extent of their response.
Chaim also mentions that Canada has removed the terrorist designation from Syria’s interim President, Abu Muhammed Al-Jolani, following the lead of the US and the UK. Chaim says that if a “former” terrorist puts on a suit and gets a nice haircut, that doesn’t cancel out all the terrorist activities he participated in previously. But it’s worth hoping that Al-Jolani HAS in fact changed his ways, but Israel will be keeping an eye on him, even if Canada doesn’t.
In the meantime, Chaim talks about the quiet battle playing out in Western countries, where the Muslim Brotherhood is slowly but surely taking over in many places, culturally at first, and then politically. US President Donald Trump seems to have thrown a monkey wrench into some of their plans in the US, but it might be too little, too late for some Western countries.
Chaim also mentions a recent visit to Israel by around 1,000 American pastors in which the need for Israel to have sovereignty over Judea and Samaria was a prominent topic of discussion.
In this context, Chaim concludes by quoting Psalms 84:11; For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
