(Day 831) Swords of Iron – “Tik Tok”
Even though people in some places in Israel are preparing their bomb shelters, everything suddenly feels quiet—almost like it’s not going to happen. We know President Trump has said he believes the killing in Iran has stopped, or at least paused, and that he’s bought some time. But anyone who thinks they know what Trump will do, what America will do, or even what Israel will do—doesn’t really know. There is a lot happening behind the scenes.
What is clear is that the massacre of innocent people must stop. Absolutely. We also know that a broad coalition of Iran’s allies—including not only Shi’ite actors but Sunni-majority countries like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman—feel that an end-times–level regional war could erupt. That may be one reason Trump chose to pause and weigh the full consequences of escalation.
Still, we are on a knife’s edge. We’re waiting. And we recognize that across jihadist-controlled areas—where Alawites, Druze, Kurds, Christians, and protesters live—people are being murdered by jihadism. This cannot continue.
Look at Gaza. While terrorists were holding our people—and still hold one hostage—there were crowds cheering them on. And as those terrorists were being pushed back, people in Western capitals were tearing those cities apart waving pro-Hamas and pro-Hezbollah flags. This must stop. This has never been about human rights or human lives. It has always been about hatred of Israel.
Where are the mass protests over the 15,000 to 20,000 Iranian people reportedly massacred by their own regime? Do you see that anywhere in Western capitals?
The UK has now issued a travel warning for Israel. Airlines have suspended flights—Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, and others. Some argue Israel is too cautious, that we should act more like other powers. When facing apocalyptic jihadism, leadership must come from strength and resolve.
Especially in these times, at the end of the day, I look to the Word of God for comfort.
Psalm 144:2; “My goodness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield, in Him who I trust, He subdues the people under me.”
