(Day 844) Swords of Iron – “Doomsday Clock”

Wow, it’s a bit cold today, I can even see my breath.

Meanwhile over 100,000 people are protesting in Tehran for the downfall of the diabolical terrorist regime, the octopus head of all these proxies of terror that have plagued the world. At the same time, Iran, with a delegation in the UN, states that if their country feels cornered, they will respond in an unprecedented way.

President Trump is expected to announce today an order for the US military to impose a naval blockade on Iran by Friday. Iran is showcasing its wide range of missiles, including long-range tactical and intercontinental ballistic missiles. The origin of most of these missiles is technically unknown but most likely are from China and/or Russia. They claim their arsenal can reach well outside West Asia. A huge underground network of missile sites and their estimated ranges, compiled by the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, highlights Iran’s strike capability across the Middle East, Europe, and parts of Asia.

It’s a phenomenal time. Many speculate about potential major strike/s between Israel, America, and Iran, or that Iran might strike first. No one truly knows; people are merely guesstimating.

However, many are making choices and drawing their lines. It’s good news that Kazakhstan is joining the Abraham Accords as an ally of freedom, democracy, righteousness, and Israel. Others, unfortunately, are choosing to align with apocalyptic jihadist theology.

President Trump urges the IRGC (Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps) to negotiate against nuclear weapons. I believe there’s no point in negotiating with them. Even if they offered to negotiate at the UN to stop pursuing a “doomsday bomb” to destroy Israel, they shouldn’t be trusted.

Especially in honor of International Holocaust Memorial Day just now, we remember World War II. These jihadists are the new Nazis; it’s not the right time to negotiate. People tried negotiating with Hitler back then. Some think it helped, most realize it didn’t.

Iran is flaunting their underground cities and showing off their aircraft, believing they can inflict major damage on Israel at will and with impunity. They are also openly threatening to blow up the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier battle strike group, thinking they are able to destroy it and also get away with it. They are toying with dangerously irrational ideas. While I don’t underestimate their massive naval capabilities and vast missile facilities buried deep underground, it’s crucial to understand that they are irrational actors driven by their jihadist theology. Thus they think they can challenge the entire United States military with their Shahid Bagheri drone carriers and other capabilities.

I find solace in the Bible, specifically Psalms 121:4: “Indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”

Believe it as you sleep well and trust in the God of Israel.
