(Day 851) Swords of Iron – “Iranian Revolution 2.0”

What is going on with these mysterious explosions in Tehran, and who is behind them? Are they covert sabotage operations? Is the Mossad involved?

Unexplained explosions at the Janat Abad market filled Iran’s capital with smoke and fire, reportedly injuring 14 people there, while another explosion occurred in Bandar Abbas on the Gulf Coast. A separate blast in Ahvaz killed 4 people. These incidents have been happening across Iran for some time now.

People are asking whether this resembles past operations, when Iran’s signal intelligence was disrupted before strikes. Maybe Israel is involved, maybe not—but the pattern is raising questions. At the same time, China has reportedly airlifted at least 8 cargo planes into Iran, possibly carrying advanced anti-aircraft technology. The US and Israel are watching closely as the situation inside Iran continues to deteriorate. Damage reports remain unconfirmed, and the Iranian currency has dropped again—another 16%. Today, one U.S. dollar equals roughly 1.67 million Iranian rials. Before the Islamic Revolution, what now buys one kilo of beans could buy 27 cars. Life has become unlivable.

The regime is reaching a breaking point. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been warned that fear no longer deters the people. Reports indicate tens of thousands killed—some estimates reaching nearly 87,000—and thousands blinded. Even regime insiders believe that limited external military pressure combined with ongoing street protests could collapse the system entirely.

Donald Trump is still weighing whether to strike, possibly through targeted action against military installations such as missile silos aimed at Israel. Meanwhile, a senior adviser to the Ayatollah appeared on Iranian television declaring readiness for full-scale conflict with Israel and the United States.

Israel’s Chief of Staff, General Eyal Zamir, has stated that Israel is increasing readiness for war, preparing for multiple theaters of conflict. Since October 7, Israel understands that the real threat is the “head of the octopus,” and that decisive victory may require coordinated action across several fronts.

In Gaza, questions remain about transitioning control to an international coalition led by the UAE, while weapons continue to be found hidden inside humanitarian aid—mortars, rockets, and other arms concealed in aid bags and blankets—showing ongoing exploitation by Hamas.

At the same time, there are signs of rebuilding. Israelis are returning to the north, homes are being repaired, and a Canadian foundation has pledged $50 million toward a new high-tech research university focused on AI, agriculture, and resilience.

Despite everything, we are moving forward. We will get through this. Zechariah 12:8 declares “the Lord will defend Jerusalem, and even the weakest will be like David, strong as the angel of the Lord”.
