(Day 855) Swords of Iron – “One Tribe”
On the front lines of this Swords of Iron war, even in the darkest moments, we see glimpses of light. We see extraordinary unity among Israeli soldiers—friends fighting side by side. Those Israelis who have fallen came from every walk of life: religious and secular, Jewish and Druze and even Muslim, from across society. Yet they fought and died as one.
People often say Israel is divided into right and left, rich and poor, religious and secular, immigrant and native-born. While this is true of most nations, this war revealed that we are one nation, one tribe. In the fight against tyranny and grotesque terror, division is a luxury we cannot afford—whether between Jews and Christians, secular and religious, Americans and Canadians. We must stand united against evil.
The United States is again urging its citizens to leave Iran—go anywhere, just get out. We’ve heard warnings like this before, and nothing followed, so the question is whether this time is different. American troops and families are beginning to relocate. Is it precautionary, or a sign of what’s coming? It’s hard to say.
Inside Iran, what we’re seeing looks like a second revolution against a tyrannical dictatorship and the IRGC. Protesters are reportedly burning mosques—around 100 so far. Out of roughly 75,000 mosques, only about 25,000 are operational, mostly attended by the elderly. Iran is a young country, and the West remains strangely silent as something enormous unfolds. People are exhausted by jihadism and repression.
There are also alarming events: “mysterious” fires at Iranian military bases, buildings inside sensitive sites “suddenly” going up in flames, and a cold storage facility in northwestern Iran “randomly” burned down—raising questions about what was being hidden. The situation is deeply unsettling.
According to Al Jazeera, the U.S. wants Iran to dismantle its nuclear program, limit missile range, stop threatening Israel, ease internal repression, release detainees, cut ties with China, and sever links with proxy groups.
Iran appears unwilling. That may explain reports of B-52 bombers arriving in Qatar. Iran has made clear it will continue enriching uranium, and negotiations appear to have failed.
Even more alarming, Iran has launched attacks on U.S. warships in the Arabian Sea, including drone strikes and an attack on a U.S. oil tanker. This escalation raises serious questions about Iran’s intentions and the role of Russia or China.
I think of David and Goliath; as David in 1 Samuel 17:45 said: “You come against me with sword and spear, but I come against you in the name of the Lord of Hosts.”
We say the same to the Iranian regime. You are not fighting only Israel or America—you are fighting the God of Israel. This will not end well for you. Surrender now.
At the end of today’s video update I’ve added a short clip of some IDF Special Forces thanking the ARC for our support.
