Update (Day 870) Swords of Iron – “Deadline Soon For Iran & Refuting Tucker”

Everyone is on edge. Is this the brink of World War III, or a calculated buildup meant to force Iran back to the negotiating table? There’s talk of 48 hours, of meetings in Geneva, of a final chance to respond. President Trump appears inclined to strike but has given negotiators another day or two to confirm whether Iran truly refuses compromise—whether it will continue enriching uranium, advancing ballistic missiles, and entrenching its revolutionary posture.

Reports suggest some of the US’s roughly 70 nuclear submarines are in or near the Sea of Oman, potentially ready within days. In the north, Hezbollah’s movements are erratic with unusual rocket activity. They may try to strike first if war erupts, given their proximity. Shiite militias in Iraq and the Houthis in Yemen are also poised. A multifront war is possible. That is deeply concerning—but we are not naive.

There are also reports of IRGC troop movements toward Iraq. Could they attempt a ground escalation? Meanwhile, questions swirl about whether the U.S. has sufficient bunker-busting capability to eliminate Iran’s hardened enrichment sites. Additional 30,000-pound Massive Ordnance Penetrators are reportedly being positioned. This could become a race of intelligence and resolve.

Two paths lie ahead: decisive action with America, or a prolonged conflict. No one wants the latter. But we will not bury our heads in the sand. Free people defend freedom.

Amid this tension, Tucker Carlson’s interview with Ambassador Mike Huckabee added fuel to the fire. Carlson raised “Greater Israel,” citing biblical boundaries from the Nile to the Euphrates. Yet Israel returned Sinai to Egypt, withdrew from Gaza in 2005, and signed peace agreements with the UAE, Jordan, and Egypt. That record does not reflect expansionism.

He claimed Christians are persecuted here. In reality, Israel is the one place in the region where Christians live openly and safely. More than 180,000 Christians reside here, among the most educated and economically successful citizens. Their proportion has shifted due to Jewish immigration, not persecution.

Carlson suggested Israel manipulates U.S. policy and questioned Jewish legitimacy through the Khazar hypothesis. We preserved Hebrew, Torah scrolls, and identity for 2,000 years. To question that now is slander.

He alleged mistreatment at the airport, phone surveillance, even falsely tied President Herzog to criminal conspiracies. These are serious accusations without evidence.

He invoked Amalek to imply biblical vengeance drives modern warfare. In reality, Israel warns civilians, cancels strikes, and targets infrastructure used for attacks. After October 7, self-defense is not ideology—it is survival.

No one here wants war. We defend our borders to avoid massacre. Our right to exist is not philosophical when there are those who openly call for our destruction.
