Day 164

Chaim starts the video by saying it’s difficult to believe that 164 days have passed since the war began with a Hamas terrorist attack that resulted in the deaths of nearly 1,200 Israelis. He and his comrades have been fighting for almost every single one of those 164 days and he thanks his viewers for their prayers and support because it’s very difficult and “draining.”

But, he quotes G.K. Chesterton saying “a true soldier doesn’t fight because he hates what is in front of him but because he loves what is behind him.”

But he admits that there’s nothing good about war, which is why a true warrior dreams of peace and a better future for those he loves.

However, Chaim says, although he does want to complete his mission and he hopes he won’t be stopped from doing so by outside political pressure, he’s nonetheless looking forward to the end of this war so he can get back to his family and his normal life.

Next, Chaim mentions that the Biden Administration in the US was rumored to have been contemplating making aid to Israel conditional on Jerusalem agreeing to a cease-fire, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. However, the US is preparing to build a dock that will allow large volumes of humanitarian aid to be delivered to northern Gaza. This is necassary since little of the aid coming into southern Gaza from Egypt is making it into the northern part. Hamas steals much of the aid before it can get to the north and uses it for its own purposes, including selling it at massively inflated prices, instead of freely distributing it to people as it is meant to be.

Chaim says he was part of the team which built the infrastructure for pumping water into Hamas terror tunnels and this new project to buid a temporary port will involve some similar technical steps.

Chaim’s unit, the Ya’alom engineering corps, also demolished one of Hamas’ largest and most complex tunnels this week. This tunnel network was a key part of Hamas’ logistics and communication network, linking its forces in the north and south of the Strip. Now that it’s gone, many Hamas fighters are cut off from support and may soon surrender, or choose to go down fighting.

Next Chaim mentions the Houthi rebel groups in Yemen who have been supplied with hypersonic missiles which they are threatening to use against ships in the Indian Ocean, even far to the south of Yemen as they attempt to navigate around the Cape of Good Hope.

He also mentions the raids the IDF needed to carry out on the Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. This hospital had already been cleared of Hamas operatives in the past, but they managed to once again infiltrate this civilian complex. So the IDF had to go back in and clear them out, arresting several and killing others in fierce battles. Large stockpiles of weapons were also found in the hospital, which is a violation of the laws of armed conflict.

Chaim points to Exodus 19 and Deuteronomy 7 as verses which declare that God will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse her. He also says that it’s a priviledge to defend Israel from Hamas and also Hezbollah. Chaim mentions that a Hezbollah operative was caught as he attempted to infiltrate the US through the southern border and admitted under interogation that he planned to carry out attacks in the US.

This, Chaim says, is an example of how Israel is defending the whole world against terrorism, not just itself.

Chaim concludes by quoting Isaiah 43:1-2; But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

He then asks his viewers to pray the Aliyah scriptures over Israel.

The video ends to a recording of a Gazan man who blames Hamas for the bloodshed in Gaza, not the IDF.4

(Day 761) Swords of Iron – “Lebanon, cast terror out!”

Chaim starts by saying that he was in Lebanon recently and the jihadists of Hezbollah have not learned their lesson. They’re continuing to rearm, reorganize and prepare to take another shot at Israel, despite the pounding they received in the campaign a year ago this month. The Lebanese National Army is also not doing what it’s supposed to do in disarming Hezbollah. So the IDF now has to go back into Lebanon in a big way and take care of business.

(Day 760) Swords of Iron – ”Inevitable”

Chaim starts by saying that it’s kind of satisfying to see the inevitable destruction of the tunnels and other terrorist infrastructure in Gaza and southern Lebanon. Chaim says that the wicked might prosper for a season, but the righteous always prevail in the end.

(Day 759) Swords of Iron – “Iraq Next?“

Chaim starts by saying things are not really calming down right now, despite the “ceasefire” in Gaza. There are reports that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps is arming and training the Badr Brigades and other Shi’ite militias in Iraq for a move against Israel in the future, and they’re also continuing to arm and fund Hezbollah in Lebanon, although not with the same level of support they’re giving to the Iraqi militias.
