Day 184

Chaim starts out by telling his viewers that these are very perilous times for Israel to be going through. He shows them the bullet holes in a bull dozer which was recently on a mission to destroy terror tunnels in the Gaza Strip. He also takes a moment to honor four IDF commandos who were killed in action in Khan Yunis this week. Chaim reminds his viewers that this makes 604 IDF soldiers killed in this war, which is entering its 6th month today.

Chaim gives a description of the event in which the four commandos were killed, including his own first-hand account since he was close by when it happened.

He says that although everyone is saddened by this loss, they are also proud that these men gave their lives to stand agains the darkness which is rising in the world. To make this point, Chaim quotes Isaiah 60:1-5; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side. Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy;

Chaim says that during Passover we celebrate the memory of this great historical event, when the People of Israel were in Egypt, in great darkness, but they emerged forth into the light.

He says that right now, there’s great darkness in Israel, but we’re going to emerge into the light.

Chaim says that the new year according to the Biblical calender is coming soon, and he wants to pass on the thanks that he recieves for all the assistance the Aliyah Return Center is giving to soldiers and civilians. He says that there are still needs, some soldiers still need helmets and other gear, they need tools for the bulldozer and other things, but it’s a time of thanksgiving when we see that God is blessing Israel with everything they need.

He concludes by reminding his viewers to “mourn with those who mourn” and that God has not forgotten His promises to His people.

(Day 761) Swords of Iron – “Lebanon, cast terror out!”

Chaim starts by saying that he was in Lebanon recently and the jihadists of Hezbollah have not learned their lesson. They’re continuing to rearm, reorganize and prepare to take another shot at Israel, despite the pounding they received in the campaign a year ago this month. The Lebanese National Army is also not doing what it’s supposed to do in disarming Hezbollah. So the IDF now has to go back into Lebanon in a big way and take care of business.

(Day 760) Swords of Iron – ”Inevitable”

Chaim starts by saying that it’s kind of satisfying to see the inevitable destruction of the tunnels and other terrorist infrastructure in Gaza and southern Lebanon. Chaim says that the wicked might prosper for a season, but the righteous always prevail in the end.

(Day 759) Swords of Iron – “Iraq Next?“

Chaim starts by saying things are not really calming down right now, despite the “ceasefire” in Gaza. There are reports that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps is arming and training the Badr Brigades and other Shi’ite militias in Iraq for a move against Israel in the future, and they’re also continuing to arm and fund Hezbollah in Lebanon, although not with the same level of support they’re giving to the Iraqi militias.
